At the end of April, the government unveiled an ambitious action plan to accelerate the decarbonization of transport through retrofitting, which consists of converting a gasoline or diesel vehicle with alternative fuels, such as hydrogen or electric.
In broad terms, the plan will simplify current regulations for heavy vehicles, define a European framework and provide various financial solutions.
This action plan reinforces the visionary strategy of SAFRA, a pioneer in hydrogen mobility in France, which offers not only the retrofit of hydrogen intercity buses thanks to its H2-PACK® kit, but also new hydrogen buses: the only supplier offering these 2 solutions combined to date.
As a reminder, H2 retrofit is a great solution to accelerate the decarbonization of mobility. On the one hand, because hydrogen is a powerful vector capable of meeting the needs of autonomy and operating constraints, and on the other hand, retrofitting allows to extend the lifespan of these still functional vehicles.
